The
JSS122 incorporates Chaparral's
innovative RAIDEngine II™ memory
controller. Featuring
a state-of-the-art
800 MB/sec, PC-133-compatible memory interface, and XOR
RAID parity hardware, the RAIDEngine II is optimized for
swift data transfers between host systems and hard disks.

Availability
The
SRS114 and SRS214 support RAID levels 0, 1, 3, 4, 5, 10,
50, and JBOD. Additional
high-availability features include online capacity
expansion, online array initialization, dedicated and
pooled spares, battery-backed ECC-protected cache, and
hot-swap replacement of disk drives.
The SRS214 further supports host-transparent
failover/failback, and the cache data is fully mirrored
across both controllers to ensure
data integrity. The
SRS114/SRS214
enclosure comes standard with redundant, auto-ranging 450
W power supplies and is pre-configured with two,
seven-drive SCSI buses.
Fault indicators are also standard for power
supplies, temperature, drives, fan modules, and
controllers. All
Field Replaceable Units (FRUs)--including power supplies,
fan modules, drives, and RAID controllers--are hot-pluggable.
Lastly, the SRS114/SRS214 enclosure is the first in
its class to provide a fully redundant
cooling system capable of withstanding temperatures of up
to 40º C.
